Flux Venus Elettrikais
“Flux Venus Elettrika” is the last piece of the synthesizer solo triptych “Ring Zone.” The cycle is based on a central idea: Notes and noises collapsing joyfully. “Flux Venus Elettrika” touches on the behavior of sonic monsters, who are strong enough to stretch the time and the structure themselves. The result is another important idea, present all through the cycle: The fact that the boundaries between writing and improvising are now blurry and are in constant motion. “Flux Venus Elettrika” is performed with a modular synthesizer and various metallic resonant percussion instruments, such as an Indian bowl, a custom bell plate, crotales and a Chinese cymbal. Five parts articulate the global shape.
