The Calamity Dwellers
They say that Samuel Beckett once proffered: “When you are up to your neck in shit, all you can do is sing.”
Whereas as a society, we have sunk so deep into the darkness that it is not clear how or if it is still possible to breathe.
And at the same time: school year, artmaking, end of year.
The Student Choir invites you to join it and linger in the calamity, listen to the voices emanating from the fragments, acknowledge the loss of the way, and celebrate every spark of light.
On the menu: songs of devotion, uprising, and praise.
