Beating Lung

“Beating Lung” is a sound installation that comes alive with a live show twice a night, in which Itzhaki plays a saxophone solo in the installation he created. Playing in the middle of a circle composed of objects, musical instruments, and sound boxes, the music permeates and activates the space. The still objects that encircle the source of the sound, stir and respond with their own sound in a continuous resonance. The vibration echoes and pulsates through the abandoned instruments. Like animals and vessels that use sound waves to navigate, Itzhaki wishes to establish temporal and spatial coordinates, if only for a brief moment. The work explores the delineation of boundaries through a dialogue between the single body and its surroundings, between a solo and a band, between what breathes and what beats.
The Sound Installation will work continuously throughout the festival.
