State of Emergency

When the rug is constantly being pulled from under our feet, what else is there to do but dance and sing?
In times of perpetual state of emergency, Musrara’s Student Choir found refuge in the neighborhood monastery. There, between the percolation and simmering, they created a compilation of songs that exude emotion, dripping with worry, sorrow and irony, wonder, awe and empowerment. Like a questionably going away party to an era that unravels in our hands, a polyphonic Tashlich ritual, or a collective drawing of blood that summons and makes space for what is yet to come.
